A public art scheme for Guilford Housing Association situated in a local playground using bespoke industrial plastic panels, under the Percent for Art programme.
EDUCATION PROJECT
Pearman worked with year 5 children from Guildford Grove Primary School.
Monsters and robots was the theme and the children set about making looped animation sequences of flat hinged puppets set in a visual vocabulary of stairs, doors, arrows and lightning bolts.The iconic photographs of motion by pioneer Victorian, Eadweard Muybridgewere used to explain cycles of walking and running.Stills from these sequences were the starting point for the machined plastic that spans the 26 meter wall…
